Dora from Bloemfontein (a very productive person
herself) reported as follows:
"On 19 March I put a new ice cream bucket in my
Goodbugs Worm Jail, and counted off the number of
earthworms I introduced to the jail. There were 30 adult
worms to start off with.
On 18 May I took everything out and recounted the
number of worms and cocoons. The number of worms
increased to 72, which included all the big ones and all the
babies that were born in the two months period. And furthermore,
there were 30 unhatched cocoons!
All of this starting off with only 30 earthworms. The babies
that hatched during this period were still juveniles and could not
have contributed to this huge population increase.
In two month's time I did another count, May and July 2010,
and put together the following statistics:

and put together the following statistics:
In four months time, starting off with 30 adult worms, the adults increased from 56, with a total of 185 baby worms, some of which are
soon to be adults. Amazing results!
